  • Homeopathic treatment for a variety of conditions including injuries and infectious illnesses, as well as allergies, ear infections, seizures, arthritis, immune-mediated diseases, and cancer.
  • Nutritional consultations emphasizing home-prepared diets using whole foods for small animals, and individualized diet recommendations for the specific needs of your equine friend, whether she is an athlete or pasture pet.
  • Titer testing to avoid unnecessary vaccination.
  • Monovalent (single agent) vaccination available for healthy patients based on age and/or negative titer test:

    • Rabies (thimerosal-free)
  • Full laboratory diagnostics including blood screening, urinalysis, heartworm testing, and fecal flotation for small animals. Coggins and fecal egg counts are available for horses.
  • Support and education for owners who choose not to vaccinate or are unable to do so because of the patient’s chronic illness.

    • ​Small Animals: Consultations are regularly available at Dr. Melling's office north of Cedar by appointment for small animals. 
    • Horse Chiropractic Services: Barn calls for equine VSMT (chiropractic care) is still available. Travel fees for barns can be provided at the time of scheduling, and may be divided between the number of horses receiving VSMT.
