Good Harbor Holistic Veterinary Care is pleased to offer holistic veterinary medicine to pets in the greater Traverse City region. The primary focus of care is maintaining and restoring your pet's health through the use of veterinary spinal manipulative therapy (VSMT: animal chiropractic), homeopathy, nutrition, and education on natural pet care. Dr. Lisa Melling provides consultations by appointment in her office north of Cedar and farm/barn calls for equine veterinary chiropractic care.
The approach to healing is a form of holistic healing called homeopathy, which uses small doses of natural remedies to return an injured or ill patient to health. Holistic health care means that we see the patient as a whole, rather than a diagnosis based on individual organ systems. Homeopathy respects the body's innate ability to heal itself, and provides the proper stimulation with small doses of remedies to alleviate symptoms and restore health. Dr. Lisa Melling received her veterinary degree in 2004 and has practiced homeopathy since 2008. She is a Certified Veterinary Homeopath and was a faculty instructor with the Pitcairn Institute of Veterinary Homeopathy for more than ten years before co-founding a post-graduate school called Veterinary Homeopathy Institute, which trains veterinarians in the classical art of homeopathic medicine. Let her show you how improving your pet's nutrition and homeopathic treatment can be used in everything from injuries to skin allergies and cancer, without the need for long-term medications or the risks of side effects.
Are you looking for animal chiropractic care for your companion? Dr. Lisa is certified in Veterinary Spinal Manipulative Therapy (VSMT) and is pleased to offer VSMT for cats, dogs and horses. Whether you are helping them recover from an injury or want to improve their performance in competition or out on the trail, animal chiropractic can help.
